Night invariably begins on the town's main street, one of only two in Morro - Rua Caminho da Praia and Rua da Fonte Grande. Here, everyone gathers after sunset, in bars and restaurants for all tastes and tribes. Walking along main street from top to bottom, you'll encounter everyone enjoying the island, dining, drinking, shopping, etc.

The main plaza art fair is an attraction worth a visit. There one can find silver jewelry (real and fake), artsy fartsy clothes and art composed of recycled material. Stores offer everything - souvenirs, clothes, beach accessories and trinkets of art.

After midnight?

It's party time. The difficult part is to get to every place that's happening at night: PULSAR DISCO, at a fantastic location on the way to the Fort; TOCA LOCA, former Toca do Morcego and re-done for Summer 05/06, on the way to the Lighthouse; 87 Music Bar, a success for several seasons on the 2nd Beach or Ponta da Ilha with a regional flair.
